My wife and I have used Jeff Burns to draw three sets of house plans for us over the last 6 years. Two sets of plans were for new construction with the third involving the purchase of an older home for remodeling. On the third plan Jeff drew the existing home followed by a set of plans of the remodel. This helped with obtaining financing from the bank as well as getting a more accurate estimate for the bank appraisal. Having both the pre and post construction views on the plans was useful in showing contractors exactly what we were hoping the final product to look like. My wife and I keep going back to Jeff to draw our plans for several reasons. Jeff built houses for years which allows him the insight that many people that draw plans do not have. He understands structural issues, building codes, drainage, etc. Most importantly Jeff has vision and creativity beyond anything that my wife and I are capable of conceiving. We know we like it when we see it but it takes Jeff to draw it. We supply him with pictures of the types of houses we like with our wish list and he is able to draw a house that meets this criteria. He has recently purchased the latest computer program that allows for 3D models that are HD quality. Our last plan (August 2015) is the first plan that he did with this new program. He can remove the roof of the house so that you can look down at each room. You can spin drawings around and look at your great room with furniture and lighting. The lighting includes shadows on the wall. He imported pictures of trees from our lot into the program and took shots from google earth that allowed the topography of our 3D models to be accurate. When I give my plans to builders, plumbers, etc they always ask who in the world did our plans or they look at the bottom of the plan and say ah, Jeff Burns. Jeff has followed up during our construction to answer technical questions from the builder. His primary job involves Kitchen and home
